I run the Phil Demetro Mastering operation out of Lacquer Channel's studio "A". Originally designed by Terry Medwedyk of Group One Acoustics, it's an unbelievably well conceived mastering environment. It's modular so that I can essentially change the sound of the room as times and trends change. Virtually no limit to how it can sound or do what I want it to do. Very comfortable and the "sonics" translate flawlessly to your favorite system. Speakers are a soffit-mount style speaker (as used by Brian " Big Bass" Gardner & Bernie Grundman) and are custom made to our specifications by Canadian speaker designer Steve Kranis. Built specifically for the dimensions of my mastering studio. I would buy these again tomorrow given the choice.

Phil has had the pleasure of mastering a few hit singles and remixes for the country's leading artists. The following groups have been making a splash on the airwaves.
THE TREWS conquered their native country of Canada with two Gold albums, six Top 10 singles (including two ..1s at Rock radio) The TREWS are ready to take on the U.S. with the April 18th release of Den of Thieves (Red Ink/Sony BMG). They were recently voted Spin Magazine's band of the month. "She's Leaving" and "I Can't Stay" are two of the albums strongest singles.
THE PHILOSOPHER KINGS have released three immensely successful albums have had multiple Top 10 radio hits, Industry Award nominations and sold-out concert venues across the country. Their new album, “Castles” is a culmination of everyone’s life experiences and influences over the last decade and underneath the sweet groove and earnest soulfulness, they continue to build strong epic stories with their lyrics. "Castles in the Sand" is the first single from this group's stellar new album.
JACKSOUL's new release "mySOUL' is a collection of 13 tracks that combines emotive lyrics and soul stirring music. Underscoring the music on the album is consistent theme of timeless, soulful artistry. The album's first single, "Onesong" was a instant hit across the country.
CADENCE WEAPON is a new young hip hop artist whose first album "Breaking Kayfabe" rocks with the towering basslines and rigid electro-tones of UK Grime. Watch out for this media darling as his career has only begun to take off! Listen up for "Swords" on your college and community radio stations that know the deal.

Phil has had the honor of working with Toronto's leading
female vocalists and emcees. These girls have been
making a splash on the airwaves and in the clubs.
DIVINE BROWN is all about the voice-bend a
note here, extend a phrase there, scat somewhere
else to suit the mood of the rhythm track.
She has shared the stage with everyone from
The Temptations to George Benson to KRS-One.
JULLY BLACK is one of the
most well-respected singer/songwriters in
the Canadian music community. An immensely
talented vocalist, she recently released her
debut album "This Is Me" to great
critical acclaim.
MELANIE DURRANT's first full
length release, "Where I'm Goin'"
is full of melodic surprises, heavenly harmonies
and bold direction. She embodies the voice,
attitude and sound that young North America
has been waiting for.
ETERNIA has been a formidable
presence in the Canadian and international
urban music industry for over a decade. This
lyrical powerhouse has tightened her skills
on street corners, stages, and in studio sessions
across Canada, the U.S. and Australia. Her
first full length release, "It's Called
Life" was released in late 2005.
KESHIA CHANTE has released
a GOLD album and won a Juno Award for "R&B/Soul
Recording of the Year" in 2004. This
petite vocal powerhouse burst on the scene
in 2003 and instantly grabbed the attention
of both industry tastemakers and consumers.
She is currently working on her second album
in New York with a release scheduled for 2006.
